What Is Included in AT&T U-Verse Packages?

U-verse's U-family TV only package includes as many as 80 family-friendly channels, HD service and Total Home DVR, which consists of a digital video recorder that lets you record as many as four shows at the same time, and pause recorded programs in one room and resume play in another room. Total Home DVR also lets you play as many as four recorded shows on your screen using Multiview technology.

U-verse also offers a U-family TV and Internet package that adds Internet service with "Pro" speed that features downstream speeds of as many as 3 Mbps, which is optimal for emailing, music downloading, social networking and photo sharing. U-verse's U-family TV, Internet and Phone package adds a home phone service with 250 minutes of calling each month within the United States, and to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. After you exceed your minutes, the charge is 5 cents per minute for each call. The home phone service also offers 20 calling features, including the capability of viewing incoming calls on your television.

The U200 package has as many as 260 channels, Total Home DVR, HD service -- for a monthly fee -- and "Elite" speed Internet service that offers downstream speeds of 6 Mbps, allowing you to email, download music, share photos, play games and conference online. Premium channels are not included on this package, but you can add them for an additional charge.

The U450 package offers as many as 410 channels, including premium movie channels, and also provides Internet and home phone service. The Internet service is "Max" speed, which can operate at a maximum of 12 Mbps, enabling you to upload large files and watch TV and video clips in addition to basic functions such as email and music download. The home phone calling plan lets you make unlimited calls within the United States, and to Canada, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. HD service is free of charge on this package.
