How to Get Wireless on Comcast

Step 1

Visit Comcast.com. At the top of the page, click on "Products," which will initiate a pull-down menu. Click on "XFINITY Internet."

Click on "View New Customer Offers" on the right side of the page. Review the wireless options. Comcast offers different packages that include a TV, phone and Internet combination. Click the "Start Shopping" box next to the option you select.

Step 3

Enter your street address and ZIP code. Click "Continue."

Step 4

Select the wireless option you want and click "Add To My Cart." Click "I want to lease a modem," or "I own a modem." Click "Next."

Step 5

Enter your billing information and billing address if it is different than the service address. Enter your date of birth and social security number. This information is required to obtain wireless service with Comcast. If you do not want to provide this information, you will have to visit a Comcast service center to sign up for wireless service. Click "Next."

Step 6

Click the installation method you would like to use. Click "I would like a self-install kit," or "Professional installation is provided by Comcast." Each method has a different fee. Click "Next."

Step 7

Review your order and click "Start Live Chat," which is the final step to complete your order. A live chat representative will confirm your order and answer any questions. At the conclusion of the live chat session, click "Submit" to complete the process.
